Can you see it? This slight, barely detectable, machining anomaly caused a two-day delay in project completion. Yes, that's 304 stainless and yes, this is a VERY pricey part. Also, there is no way we could have sealed this connection permanently after it was installed, so it had to come out. You can bet the field double-checked the new one before installation.

Who else out there can appreciate the heart, pride and effort that went into this art piece? As much as I love the technology and advancements coming at me every day I feel like I missed out on a whole other level of wonderment and extreme joy! Proper and thorough preventive maintenance can significantly extend the life of your clients' assets. Even if a unit is only a few years old, it's important to check it regularly to avoid costly repairs down the line. Found some critical electrical connections that were loose on this unit that’s only 2 1/2 years old. This serves as a reminder that we should never assume a brand new unit was perfectly assembled. Take the time to check your clients' assets regularly and ensure they're in top working condition. They will thank you for it in the long run!
