Assembling hardware for some Fencyboy units is always a nice thing to do. We are really happy with the newest update: high bonding gaskets for the solar panels mounted on the outside of the enclosure. Moving the solar panel outside of the enclosure was a thing we wanted to avoid for a while because we feared that water would get in at some point. But having the solar panel on the inside means that you need a transparent enclosure which inevitably reduces the efficiency and leads to very high temperatures and UV inside the enclosure. Therefore, it is very nice to have the solar panel on the outside with proper sealing from Voltaic Systems.

关于我们
At Voltaic, our mission is to promote sustainable technology through research and design while enabling our customers, big and small, to do more. We believe in quality engineering, collaborative problem solving and creating sustainable solutions that support our customers and the planet. Established in 2004 by founder and CEO Shayne McQuade, Voltaic broke into the solar industry by designing the world’s first solar backpack. Since then, we’ve applied our extensive knowledge and experience to provide a complete line of solar panels and battery packs for both consumer and industrial customers. From powering bednet distribution programs in Nigeria to designing custom power systems for large-scale asset tracking deployments, our customers count on us to keep their devices charged. They choose Voltaic not only for our innovative, high-quality products but because of our commitment to understanding their needs. Our experienced team delivers personalized guidance on every project, from prototyping to manufacturing to supply chain management and deployment. Our goal is to speed up our customer’s design and deployment process and maximize the long-term performance of our solutions in the field.

We recently installed a Hohonu water level sensor, powered by our 2 Watt solar panel, in New York Harbor. The Hohonu sensor provides publicly available real-time water data and forecasting at Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pier 3. Having more data on coastal waters can help forecasters, scientists, and boaters respond to and plan for changes in water levels. #Solar #IoT #Sustainability #WaterData #Innovation #BrooklynBridgeParkCorporation See more images of the installation and a live dashboard here: https://lnkd.in/grn6zyZr
