As we age, our digestive system slows down, making fiber an essential part of a healthy diet. Getting enough fiber promotes gut health, lowers cholesterol, supports healthy blood pressure, regulates glucose levels, and supports your metabolism. In observance of March being National Nutrition Month, make sure to incorporate whole grains such as quinoa, nuts and seeds such as chia seeds, and fruits and vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, apples, and berries. #VNSWestchester #NationalNutritionMonth #homecare #homehealthcare #healthyaging #fiber #nutrition
