Honoured to have interviewed Frank White for the 'Future Humans' Show. Frank White has authored numerous books on topics ranging from space exploration to climate change to artificial intelligence. His best-known work, The Overview Effect: Space Exploration and Human Evolution, is considered by many to be a seminal work in the field of space exploration. Last week I presented a keynote titled "VNCCII: A Blueprint for the Next-Gen Creative" at the Future Artists AI Social Club event connected with The University of Manchester. Thank you Mark Ashmore FRSA (PhD) for the invitation to speak to a crowd of intellectual creatives and technologists. Other speakers at the event included Ian Forrester, Lewis Hackett (Showrunner- Netflix AI -Forbes), and James Simpson from Copper Candle. In my keynote, I discussed how we are experiencing an inflection point of tech #convergence. In these next-gen brand communities, components of a 'community of tomorrow' are that they are active, democratised, and encompass mutual value flow. I shared alpha behind the VNCCII formula and how I am building a #transmedia science fiction franchise traversing music, games, film, TV series, novels, digital art, and real-time shared immersive experiences/performances. #UnrealGameEngine, #generativeAI, and #UEFN (Unreal Editor For Fortnite) have empowered the creators of tomorrow, democratising traditional Hollywood media and the Triple A games industry. Artists are the true entrepreneurs of the cultural zeitgeist and these emerging next-gen technologies are empowering us to create 360 brands that activate a community of co-creators. With respect to AI, I believe it can never replicate 'human flow' and interactivity. 'Art' versus 'art' are stories that emotionally move the receiver. The audience feels changed by the experience. Art is a communication message, whether it is to ourselves or others. Humans will always have a role as artful tastemakers of stories, sharing the universal insight and story of the human condition. I created a formula for these next-gen brands: Experiential x Gamified X Ownership x Scarcity #Scarcity is important in terms of value. As humans we are willing to place a premium on tasteful content, especially if it was 'made by a human.' #Ownership is the next-gen creator economy, offering a new value vertical for communities. I am bullish on how AI can symbiotically partner with humans to catalyze our creative workflows (#generativeAI), offering new tools and processes for ideation and community collaboration.
