T-H-A-N-K-F-U-L for the wonderful staff at VLMK Engineering + Design! We hosted our Cafe VLMK event this week with special guest Lionheart Coffee cart! Every year they spoil us with made to order hot beverages of our choosing: maple lattes, peppermint mochas, pumpkin spice chai, hot cocoa and more. Paired with an array of breakfast treats from mini quiche, mini chicken + waffles, scones, mini muffins, mini coffee cake and a yogurt parfait. Let's just say the efficiency rate for Tuesday was off the charts with all the caffeination that was taking place in the VLMK PDX office! We were extra warm + cozy wearing our favorite flannels for this annual team building event. TRIVIA NIGHT at VLMK Engineering + Design was a success and so much fun. Our very own Eric Esqueda (who previously hosted trivia around town) hosted at the VLMK PDX office last Friday night. Welcome to VLMK | New Staff Announcements Zac Arino recently joined VLMK Engineering + Design as Project Architect. He has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon. Zac brings with him 7+ years of architectural experience across a wide range of projects such as industrial, commercial, educational, community, and multifamily. In his new position at VLMK, he will collaborate with the architectural, civil, and engineering teams daily on a variety of projects. Alexis Olson recently joined VLMK Engineering + Design as a Structural CAD Technician. She has an A.A.S. in Architectural Design and Drafting from Portland Community College. Prior to being hired at VLMK, she was a designer for tiny homes. In her new position at VLMK she will be working on the structural team as a drafter on a variety of engineering projects. Matt Evens recently joined VLMK Engineering + Design as an Engineering Designer. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil?Engineering from Oregon State University and his experience includes 4+?years of engineering and design. In his new position at VLMK, he will be working with the structural team on a variety of projects doing both engineering calculations and design.
