Vitus has recently started a Lunch & Learn series for our team.?This week we were fortunate to have two terrific speakers. We were able to hear about the tremendous work Kathleen Hosfeld and her team at Homestead Community Land Trust have been doing to create paths towards affordable homeownership for their residents. We were also able to hear from Ismael Guerrero and Joseph Thompson, the CEO & President, and President of NW at Mercy Housing. They shared some of their fantastic resident engagement programs that support education, family health and upward mobility within their affordable housing communities. Our team appreciates the opportunity to connect and share ideas with these organizations, and we look forward to future opportunities to learn from our peers.

The Vitus Team loves a friendly bit of competition. Yesterday our staff competed in The Great Vitus Cookie Bake Off with three winners selected for ‘Best Tasting,’ ‘Most Beautiful,’ and ‘Most Original’ Cookie. Vitus loves an event involving good food and our wonderful team!

We’re pleased to announce that on September 2nd, Jerry Low reached his 10th anniversary with Vitus. Jerry’s dedication and hard work over the past decade have been instrumental in driving the company's success. As Director of Acquisitions, Jerry has facilitated the acquisition of over 2,000 units and counting, enabling Vitus to rehabilitate the homes of over 4,500 residents. Please join us in celebrating Jerry and this outstanding milestone!

Vitus is very excited to be working with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through their Green and Resilient Retrofit Program in the Leading Edge Cohort. #GRRP ? This past week, our very own Kimberly Brown met with HUD Officials to receive an award through the program for Moss Hill Townhouses in #Maryland. Thanks to HUD’s support we will be completing a full electrification of the site, installation of a solar array, as well as new windows and energy efficient HVAC systems.? ? Moss Hill was originally built in 1971, and the site and all 200 units are expected to be renovated and completed in 2025. We look forward to continuing to make strides in energy efficiency in partnership with HUD as well as across our portfolio in order to renew legacy #affordablehousing.

Double Dip! This week, Team Vitus members made all their favorite dips (with much creativity involved)! From Cookie Dough Dip, Dill Pickle Dip, Guacamole and many more, it was a smash! We can't wait to dip into more fun with our next Team Vitus event.
