Our ninth consecutive year partnering with Canadian Foodgrains Bank to support their mission to #endhunger has wrapped up. Together, farmers working at Viterra terminals in Balgonie, Grenfell, and Raymore, SK and Lethbridge and Trochu, AB volunteered their time, expertise and resources to harvest 267 acres of crops, raising funds to support the work of the Foodgrains Bank around the world. “As a global industry leader, we recognize the importance of food security and moving food ingredients to areas of need safely and efficiently,” said Kyle Jeworski, CEO of Viterra Canada. “I would like to thank the Foodgrains Bank for the great work they do to help fight hunger globally, our farmers for their time and effort in supporting these growing projects, and our employees who have been helping to facilitate our efforts with the Foodgrains Bank for the last nine years.” Read about the project here: https://bit.ly/3AP3Nf8 #DriveAwayHunger #foodbanks #foodsecurity #westcdnag #cdnag

Don’t forget to purchase your STARS calendar! The 2025 Calendar revisits VIPs and crew members that have been featured in previous editions of the calendar, including Marie Somerville. Marie was an aspiring barrel racer, spending countless hours practicing and competing. One day when practicing for competition, her horse fell, leading her to severe whiplash and trauma to her brainstem and spinal cord. STARS was dispatched to provide Marie with urgent critical care and transport her to the nearest major hospital, where she remained in a coma for the following three months but eventually awoke and made a strong recovery. “Without STARS, I would not be alive today,” said Marie. Learn about Marie’s story here: https://bit.ly/3UtbSg9 Calendars are $30 and support the vital, life-saving services STARS provides to patients like Marie.
