As a full-time surgical tech, mom, and president of her local Lion's Club, Stefanie has taken charge of coordinating their community blood drive. Thanks to her dedication, the blood drives have grown, exceeding her goals and saving more lives with every donation. ?? Every 8 weeks, Stefanie tirelessly reaches out to donors, schedules appointments, and spreads the word, ensuring a smooth and successful blood drive. "It’s so fun and easy, especially when you have such a great crew," Stefanie shared. She even inspired her son to donate for the first time when he turned 16! ???? As Hurricane Francine makes landfall in Louisiana, hundreds of donations have gone uncollected as blood drives and donation centers in impacted areas have canceled or closed to ensure the safety of our donors and team members. While inclement weather and natural disasters can disrupt the blood supply, patients' needs can’t wait. Donors of all blood types are urgently needed, with a critical need for type O blood donors. If you’re in an unaffected area, please schedule an appointment in the coming days and weeks to help offset the impacts from the storm and ensure patients are supported in their time of need. #GiveBlood: vitalant.org
