Few highlights from the TIPS Summit last week celebrating 10 years of our Award Winning community-based telehealth program. The future is bright.

We are so excited to announce we are going to be releasing new technology next month for the VCS community! Read below to learn more about what's new. Our most anticipated release include the upgraded tablets, and the smart watches. Our new tablets will be larger in size for easy usage and will allow faster connection to network. This will further shorten wait times to connect to WiFi and vitals monitoring devices. New tablet battery is also upgraded to last longer and require less wait time to charge. Our new smart watch will give participants distinct reminders to monitor and upload their vitals. With a reminder on the wrist, we expect compliance to at home vitals monitoring to be even higher. Further upgrades include digital thermometer and blood pressure monitors, where we resolved bugs and previous system issues. We are also introducing a new spirometer! The new device will help our telehealth participants measure how much air they breathe in and out, and how quick they do so. We are excited to expand our services to ensure we are monitoring different vital organs of our participants. Last week Vital Care Services had the amazing opportunity to send representatives to go to the Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) 2024 Grantee Conference in New Mexico. We were able to share our plan and future goals to the committee, and also explore what Albuquerque has to offer. We’re so excited to see how Vital Care Services continues to grow, and expand our services! As you know, VCS is committed to serving all types of communities, and are proud to work with such a diverse community. We are also dedicated to the Native American population in the United States. In the United States, Native Americans and American Indians have the highest rates of diagnosed diabetes, at a rate double that of non-Hispanic whites. VCS is committed to serve these communities to ensure everyone receives the knowledge and help they need to live their healthiest lifestyle. Without a doubt the week went exceptionally well, and we loved experiencing the beauties of Albuquerque!

Did you know that Vital Care Services also provides at home service? Participants can enroll in two at home services: 1) Remote Physiological Monitoring with their hospital physician group / homecare 2) TIPS At Home service Participants in these services will receive their own Telehealth kit where they take their vitals from the comfort of their own home. These vitals data are then sent to their primary physician/NP (RPM) or a triage nurse who will determine what further actions to take (TIPS). If there are any alerts noticed in vitals measurements, your nurse/physician can contact participants directly. If it's noted that the participant's vitals are normal over a long period of time, they can even be discharged from the program. Free return labels are provided with each kit. Enrolling with VCS comes at NO COST for the patient, and is COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY. Tech support is available for participants who further assistance and can be done via phone call or video call (through VCS patient portal). Additionally, all patient data is confidential, and will only be seen by clinicians. What's included in the kits? 1) 1) Tablet and charger - All devices are Bluetooth paired and data will automatically be uploaded to the tablet. 2) Blood Pressure Cuff - Wireless cuff so participants can easily slide in their arms to take vital measurement. We are excited to announce we now have 20 TIPS programming locations active, primarily in Westchester, NY, but also in Detroit, Michigan, and Portland, Maine. TIPS is a Telehealth program where participants get their vitals (blood pressure, pulse, blood oxygen and weight) checked every week at their nearest TIPS site by a trained associate. This data is reviewed by a nurse, and if there is reason for immediate concern, the nurse may contact the patient or their primary physician to provide appropriate assistance.
