The first ever micro-credential program on the University of Memphis campus is now underway, bringing together 24 professionals from companies like FedEx, Nike, Hyosung HICO LTD., Morgan Steel LLC, and other regional innovators. ?? Kicked off yesterday at the FedEx Institute of Technology ?? An 8-week program focused on AI and data analytics ?? In partnership with Upskill Mid-South, ?we are sharing a mission to develop an AI-powered workforce across 42 counties (Tennessee-Mississippi-Arkansas), strengthening expertise in advanced manufacturing, transportation, logistics, technology, and construction.

We've been playing with OpenAI's brand new 4o Image Generation, and naturally, our first test subjects were our founders Reggie and Luka coaching in our AIDA (AI+Data Analytics) Program! The results? Let's just say our Vista Data duo now have cartoon alter-egos that capture their coaching essence remarkably well! OpenAI has seriously leveled up their image game - the text rendering is spot-on (no more mangled logos!) and the model actually follows instructions with impressive precision. What makes 4o special is that image generation is now built directly into the GPT-4o language model rather than being a separate system, allowing for much more natural back-and-forth refinement. We particularly love how it maintained consistent character designs of our AIDA Program coaches across multiple generations!

???????? ?? ???? ?????? ??-???????? ???????? ??????????-???????????????????? ?????????????? has been transformative! ?In partnership with the University of Memphis Upskill Mid-South, our Alpha Cohort met yesterday at the FedEx Institute of Technology for a 90-minute immersive workshop. Participants from transportation, logistics, manufacturing, and construction sectors collaborated across company boundaries to tackle workplace challenges, discovering cross-industry synergies while applying AI tools from the first four weeks to solve real problems. The growth we've witnessed is remarkable! This hands-on session was perfect preparation for their AIDA Capstone Projects—solutions they're developing to impact their teams, divisions, and organizations. Join us April 14th when three finalists will present their innovations to community and industry leaders at our Program Summit. Together with our partners, we're developing an AI-powered workforce in the Mid-South!

We're at SXSW EDU 2025! Join us at the Austin Convention Center from March 3–6 to explore our AI + Data Analytics (AIDA) micro-credentialing programs, workforce development initiatives, and our AI-Powered Schools initiative in the K-12 space.

Last week was truly inspiring at the Innovation For Equity Conference where I presented on our AI and data analytics education initiatives along with Black College Success. What an honor to share how middle schoolers at Granville T Woods Innovation Academy are developing real AI solutions for Memphis organizations! The conference reinforced what we've witnessed firsthand—when students get access to cutting-edge technology like our Stemi Education partnership provides, they develop confidence and make meaningful connections with community leaders. It was also special to be back at Clark Atlanta University School of Business who prepared me well for this work—blending business acumen with a commitment to community advancement. Now I'm applying those principles to help bridge technological gaps and create educational equity in Memphis. Most rewarding was highlighting students who've gone from no AI knowledge to creating functional AI powered chat-assistants for local organizations. Their success demonstrates what's possible when we combine innovative curriculum with real-world applications. Grateful to contribute to this important conversation about educational equity and technological access. [???? ???? ??????????????????: ?????????? ?????? ???? ???????] At Vista Data, we’ve been measuring the real-world impact of AI in classrooms—across K-12, higher education, and professional training programs. Our youngest learner in our programs is just 10 years old, while our oldest is 68, highlighting how AI is shaping learning at every stage of life. As we continue collecting and analyzing data, we know that waiting until the research is fully published means delaying insights that could be helpful today. So instead of waiting, we’ve decided to share our current SWOT analysis—outlining the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of AI in education as things stand right now. Our hope? That educators, administrators, and institutions can use these findings to adapt, plan, and navigate AI’s impact—whether in K-12, higher ed, or professional education.

A new micro-credential in AI and Data Analytics is now available through Upskill Mid-South in partnership with Vista Data. The eight-week training program is being launched to grow and develop the AI-powered talent pipeline needed in the Mid-South and was created for non-technical professionals seeking to advance their skillset in AI and data analytics.
