关于我们
Founded in 2002, the goal of Vista Autism Services is to provide a variety of high-quality autism services to individuals with autism and their families. Vista programs are the product of the collaborative efforts of parents, educators, and professionals, all dedicated to bringing high-quality educational and behavioral services to Central Pennsylvania’s autism population. Vista provides Educationally Integrated Behavioral Services to students enrolled at The Vista School. Through Vista Outreach Services, Vista also provides direct and consultative services to assist public school districts and private schools with the education and treatment of students with autism. In 2014, we launched Vista Adult Services, a provider of training, employment, and behavior support services for adults with autism. Our Early Intervention program for young children newly diagnosed with autism was started in 2017. Vista serves individuals who have moderate to severe autism symptoms. Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a data-driven and evidence-based approach to the treatment of autism symptoms, Vista's team of specialists develops an individualized treatment plan to help each individual reach his or her unique potential. With the addition of the EI program, Vista was the first organization in Central Pennsylvania to provide comprehensive educational, behavioral health, and other support services from the time of the child's autism diagnosis, through the school years, and throughout the individual's adult life.

Celebrating the Success of Vista’s 2024 Gala and Honoring Anthony Worrall We are thrilled to announce that Vista Autism Services’ 3rd Annual Gala, Boots, Bowties, and Bling, was an overwhelming success! Together, we raised over $101,000—surpassing our goal and making a profound impact on the lives of the individuals and families we serve. One of the highlights of the evening was presenting the Vista Impact Award to this year’s honoree, Anthony Worrall. The Impact Award celebrates an individual who exemplifies extraordinary service and dedication to the Vista autism community, and Anthony’s contributions are nothing short of remarkable. Since 2016, when his family first became part of the Vista community, Anthony has devoted his time, talent, and treasure to ensuring the success and growth of our organization. In his professional life, Anthony serves as President of Reynolds Restoration Services, Inc. and is a respected leader in the Harrisburg business community. Despite his busy schedule, he has made Vista a priority, offering his unmatched business acumen, heartfelt support for our clients, and steadfast dedication to our staff. As Vista founder Michael Jarman noted during the award presentation: “Anthony’s concern for our customers, and particularly his concern for our staff who care for our customers, is most inspiring. If you’ve worked at Vista at any point over the past eight years, you’ve probably met Anthony. His efforts have truly been vital to our success.” We are incredibly grateful for Anthony’s unwavering commitment to our mission and proud to recognize him as this year’s Impact Award winner. To everyone who supported this year’s gala—thank you for helping us achieve new heights. Your generosity is creating brighter futures for the individuals and families we serve. Together, we are making a difference. #VistaGala2024 #ImpactAward #VistaCommunity #MakingADifference

At Vista Autism Services, we're proud to be part of Pennsylvania's broader efforts to create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The recently released ODP 2022-2023 Employment First Report shows the state’s progress toward competitive integrated employment, with 18% of individuals with disabilities finding work. While there’s still work to be done, Vista is contributing to this success through our collaborative, personalized approach. Our employment services are tailored to meet the specific needs of both the individuals we support and local employers. By thoroughly assessing each person's skills and interests and pairing them with businesses looking for dedicated employees, we've achieved an impressive 94% employment rate for those enrolled in our waiver-funded services, primarily in part-time roles. We’re particularly proud that 15% of our Vista Adult Services Organization (VASO) employment clients are former Vista students—a testament to the long-term impact of our programs. None of this would be possible without our dedicated team. As MaryLou Winters, our manager of Adult Employment Services says: "Teamwork makes the dream work." It's through the hard work of our staff—who support individuals through every step of their employment journey—that we've been able to achieve these remarkable outcomes. We believe that every individual has unique potential, and we’re excited to continue supporting the Employment First initiative to make Pennsylvania's workforce more inclusive. ASERT (Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training) has launched the "This is Autism" video series to elevate the diverse voices of autistic individuals across Pennsylvania. Vista Autism Services is excited to share that two of our clients were selected for this initiative, including Skylar T., a student at The Vista School. Skylar, who communicates using an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device, had the chance to showcase his daily life, including his pre-employment volunteer role at the Harrisburg Senators Stadium. Alongside Chris Pearson, Vista’s Employment Specialist, Skylar helps clean the stadium, gaining valuable work experience while enjoying one of his favorite places. This job teaches Skylar critical life skills, giving him a sense of accomplishment and working toward more independence as an adult. During the video shoot, Skylar was accompanied by his family, speech therapist Shannon Welch from Penn State Health, and the Uproot Creative video team. They captured how the AAC device empowers Skylar to participate in activities that bring him joy, like watching baseball. He truly felt like a movie star being followed by cameras as he worked! The "This is Autism" video series, featuring 10 to 15 participants, will debut next year during Autism Awareness Month. ASERT’s project emphasizes how autism manifests differently for each person and the importance of providing platforms for autistic individuals to share their stories. A huge thank you to ASERT for supporting this project and to Uproot Creative Services, LLC for their professional, creative approach in telling Skylar’s story. We’re proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to sharing the final video with our community! If you or a loved one are interested in sharing stories and experiences for this project, please apply at this link: https://lnkd.in/emCQb57R Learn more about ASERT, Uproot Creative, and how Vista is helping individuals like Skylar achieve independence through personalized services. https://lnkd.in/efHg4_qV #Autism #DiversityInWorkforce #AAC #AutismAwareness
