Just wrapped up an incredible day at the 7th Annual Silicon Valley Cybersecurity Summit (https://hubs.la/Q036xvF20), where I had the chance to connect with some of the sharpest minds in security and risk management. A highlight was catching up with Laz, whose keynote on AI adoption and governance really stood out. His contributions to the OWASP AI Governance Framework (https://hubs.la/Q036xy3r0) and VEX (https://hubs.la/Q036xwtp0) are shaping how organizations approach AI security. One key takeaway? “AI risk is a TPRM problem.” Couldn’t agree more—AI models don’t operate in a vacuum, and securing them requires the same rigor we apply to third-party risk. I also had a great conversation with Patrick Wood from Verizon Business about Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and C-SCRM. As third-party ecosystems grow more complex, managing risk at every level—whether it’s AI governance or supplier security—is more critical than ever.
