What a great night at the Feast On? Mixer in Kingston. Tourism Kingston, in partnership with the Culinary Tourism Alliance, brought together our restaurant and hospitality community for an evening of networking, collaboration, and great local food. Attendees learned about Feast On? certification, which recognizes food businesses sourcing Ontario-grown ingredients—supporting local farmers, sustainability, and authentic culinary experiences. A big thank you to Black Dog Tavern for the delicious bites and to everyone who helped support Lionhearts Inc. with proceeds going to this great cause. Through our partnership with the Culinary Tourism Alliance, Kingston’s food scene is showcased on Ontario Culinary, Canada Culinary, and more—solidifying our city as a top food destination. ?? ?? Today we celebrate Earth Hour, an opportunity to switch off and commit 60 minutes to care for our planet, whether it be taking a long walk outside, enjoying a good book by the window, or even just switching off your lights for an hour. Improving sustainability is core to our goals at Tourism Kingston, and one of the ways we encourage a more thoughtful and environmentally-conscious approach is through the ways we enjoy our city. Some of our favourite ways to do this are by supporting local farmers and producers, exploring the outdoors, engaging with businesses that focus on green experiences, and platforming sustainable initiatives in town. The best part is that anyone can have a great time in Kingston while engaging in sustainable practices. Check out our guide to a sustainable weekend in Kingston to get a taste of the many ways visitors and locals alike can celebrate Earth Hour any day of the year. https://lnkd.in/gv8n3Dhe
