Last week brought exciting news from our partners at the Spokane Conservation District with the groundbreaking of their Scale House Market! Congratulations to Vicki Carter and the entire team on this incredible project. This innovative venue will not only be a unique attraction but will also contribute to boosting food security for our underserved community. We’re so proud to see this vision coming to life in our region!

We were honored to host the Destinations International Biz Ops and Social Inclusion Summits in City of Spokane this week, welcoming colleagues from across the U.S. and into Canada. The vibrant fall colors set the scene for our opening reception at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture where guests enjoyed amazing food from Feast World Kitchen and explored exhibits, including works by Joe Feddersen, a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, known for his innovative use of traditional Plateau designs in contemporary media. It was wonderful reconnecting with our DMO friends. Here are just a few photos from the evening. Stay tuned for recaps of days 1 and 2 in our next posts!

Thank you for sharing your experience, Juan.
Day 1 of the Social Inclusion Summit in beautiful Spokane, WA was nothing short of inspiring! Kicking off the event, I had the pleasure of connecting with some incredible people in our industry. The most impactful moment of the day was hearing from David BrownEagle of the Spokane Tribe, who shared the rich history of Spokane and the importance of moving forward with a spirit of reinvention rather than being anchored by past conflicts. It was a powerful reminder of how history can guide us toward growth and inclusion. Another highlight was the session with HospitableMe—engaging, relatable, and full of actionable insights on creating welcoming spaces in travel. A big thank you to the Visit Spokane team and Destinations International for hosting this summit and for bringing light to topics that often go unspoken. #SocialInclusion #DestIntl #Inclusion #VisitSpokane #TravelIndustry

When it all comes together for the perfect night. Cows, comets, and corks - anything for our pals at State of Washington Tourism. Farm-to-table magic we hosted for UK Media, featuring some fabulous partners: Chad White, Liberty Lake Wine Cellars and Owens Farms.

Great things happening in our destination. Congrats City of Spokane Valley and Spokane Sports. Excited to see this facility come to life!
Exciting day in the City of Spokane Valley! We just broke ground on the Future Spokane Valley Cross Course, marking a huge step forward for our region. We’re already making waves, having secured the 2027 NCAA Division I Cross Country Regionals—before the course is even complete! ?? A big thank you to everyone involved in making this vision a reality. This is just the beginning of something incredible. Once finished, the course will host regional and national meets, bringing thousands of athletes, coaches, and spectators into Spokane Valley. #SpokaneSports #BuiltDifferent #SportsHappenHere
