Salt Lake is skating full speed ahead. Recently, Sports Salt Lake hosted at the Maverik Center, an unforgettable showdown in the Rivalry Series, featuring the U.S.A and the Canada Women’s National Hockey Teams. The game itself saw the highest ticket sales amongst the series. The game wasn't just thrilling because of the national pride on the line, but for the fans. Being able to watch and cheer players on who are highly decorated Olympians, gave Utahn’s a glimpse of what the 2034 Winter Games will look like and feel. Driven by a mission to expand youth hockey, prior to the game, members of the U.S Team, Utah Hockey Club and gold medalist Haley Skarupa, organized an open clinic for ages from 10-14. With these two events working together with one another, Salt Lake is proving it’s a city where hockey thrives. #SportsSaltLake #SaltLake #Events #Hockey

On October 29, 2024, Sports Salt Lake successfully hosted the 3rd Annual Sports Tourism Summit. We packed the house! With over 350 RSVPs, representing over 40 venues, more than 65 officials from municipalities, parks and government, nearly 50 tournament organizers and 9 Olympic National Governing Bodies, and not to mention our many hospitality community partners as well. To highlight, the fireside session discussed how the Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club work within the community and how their goals relate to boost the local Utah community. Our panel session spoke about Utah and the future of sports facilities and how we can continue to leverage Salt Lake as the "New Sports Boom Town." The Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation was awarded the 2024 Community Impact Award. We would like to thank EventConnect, the South Valley Chamber, Victus Advisors, Hilton Salt Lake City Center, and WEBB Production for their involvement.
