?? Oceanside isn’t just a beach town anymore—here’s why you should take another look! ?? I was recently in Oceanside, California—just north of San Diego—for a client and couldn’t believe how much this coastal gem has transformed!?I stayed at Mission Pacific Beach Resort and toured both it and its sister property, The Seabird Ocean Resort & Spa, with Lindsey E. Gintner. Opened in 2021, these two Hyatt hotels are just steps apart—less than a three-minute walk from my room at Mission Pacific to the Seabird lobby—offering seamless access to both properties under one contract. With stunning rooftop spaces, beautiful pool areas, and flexible meeting venues, these hotels are a fantastic choice for retreats, offsites, and corporate events. Plus, they’re walking distance to the Oceanside Transit Center, making travel along the California coast a breeze. I had to pass on the dining scene this time (next visit for sure!), but Oceanside is getting a lot of buzz for its restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Valle, The Plot (plant-based and creative), Dija Mara (Balinese fusion), and 333 Pacific by Cohn Restaurant Group, known for its ocean views and fantastic steak and seafood. And of course, there are plenty of great pier-side seafood spots worth checking out! And getting to Oceanside is about to get even easier—American Airlines is launching flights out of McClellan Palomar Airport - CLD, just 18 minutes away, with direct connections to Phoenix. Between the train station just steps away and these new flights, travel to North County San Diego is more convenient than ever! If you haven’t checked out Frontwave Arena, it’s also brand new (check out my previous post when I did a hard hat tour!), only 15 minutes away and hosts a variety of concerts, sports, and live events—worth keeping an eye on their event roster.
