Touchdown for Public Art! ???? Our very own Kennedy Domerchie, Visit Eau Claire’s Outdoors Development Manager, attended the Green Bay Packers Foundation Luncheon at Lambeau Field and accepted a grant for ColorBlock on behalf of Eau Claire Sculpture Tour. This inspiring public art program will benefit from the Foundation’s generous support, helping to bring vibrant murals and creative spaces to Eau Claire and Altoona. With a record $1.5 million distributed this year, this grant is part of a remarkable effort to enhance communities across Wisconsin. This Veterans Day, we’re proud to share that “Stand For The Flag” now has a permanent home at American Legion Post 53! ???? Created by artists Lee Leuning and Sherri Treeby, this sculpture captures the unwavering patriotism of a Vietnam Veteran, standing to salute his country’s flag. Brought to Eau Claire three years ago for the Sculpture Tour with help from Julie Pangallo of Visit Eau Claire, it has now found a lasting place of honor. Last Friday, a dedication ceremony celebrated this powerful sculpture and the generosity of over 100 donors who helped reach the $50,000 goal. Plans are underway to add a mural backdrop to further honor our veterans, with additional funds going toward this next phase!
