The 2nd Annual Visit Corpus Christi Film & Music Commission MusicWalk was a huge success. Over 50 bands, representing more than 10 different genres, brought thousands of locals and visitors from all walks of life together for and vibrant First Friday October night in downtown Corpus Christi. Great job to CC Film & Music Commissioner Lydia Garza and VCC Chief Marketing Officer Emily Zertuche, CDME and their teams for planning such a well-executed event. A special thank you to CC Music Council Chair Casey Lain for his outstanding support in coordinating the bands and stages. The Film & Music Commission is making a true impact on the cultural landscape of Corpus Christi.

Last night, Visit Corpus Christi hosted our Tourism Council on Inclusion and Belonging in our Gulf Coast Capital suite at the Corpus Christi Hooks. Prior to the game, we hosted leaders from the deaf and hard of hearing community to explore more ways to make Corpus Christi more inclusive and accessible for individuals with hearing loss. The meeting was highly productive as we discussed ways to better serve those who are already coming to Corpus Christi while strategizing ways to work with our new partners to bring specialized events to Corpus Christi. Thank you Aliza Long, Dirk Hillard and the rest of the group for working with us to strengthen our community. We look forward to more meetings.
