Visit Beloit's Celestino, Tracy, Savannah, Terri, and Matthew joined more than 600 industry professionals to discuss the boundless potential of Wisconsin Tourism at the annual Wisconsin Governor's Conference on Tourism (WIGCOT). The sessions included everything from outdoor recreation and group travel, to marketing and tourism trends. Thank you friends at Travel Wisconsin and Explore La Crosse for a great conference. This year, Visit Beloit was nominated for the Bright Idea Award for our Tribal Tourism Initiative! #WIGCOT2025 #WIGCOT #VisitBeloit

There, he met with National Governing Bodies, Rights Holders, and event organizers to showcase sports and event venues and experiences in Beloit and Wisconsin. Thank you Downtown Beloit Association for awarding Visit Beloit with a 2024 Best Placemaking Project Award for funding five electrical boxes to be wrapped in local art. It’s an honor to be able to collaborate and partner with the Downtown Beloit Association and the Beloit Art Center on special projects like this for our city. Not only are the wrapped electrical boxes a great way to showcase and expose our local artists but they’re vibrant and add visual interest that will be remembered by all who see them. And at Visit Beloit, we strive to create a vibrant community for residents and visitors as part of our mission statement. For more information on the wrapped elctrical boxes and other outdoor public art in the area, sign up for our free outdoor art trail here: https://lnkd.in/g2e9eSZr Pictured below is our Visit Beloit staff and Welcome Center staff receiving the award at Downtown Beloit Association's 38th Annual Awards Dinner. Thank you DBA!

Happy Destination Professionals Day! ??? February 19 is Destination Professionals Day, a day to celebrate the team who make travel, tourism, and economic growth happen in our vibrant community. Since 1987 our organization has grown in capacity and purpose, to serve more than 500 partners in the entire Stateline region including the city of Beloit, WI, town of Beloit, WI, city of South Beloit, IL, and the village of Rockton, IL. By promoting the tourism industry locally, we are helping put people to work, as well as making this region an extraordinary place to live. We take great pride in our work and consider it an investment into our community and our residents. We couldn’t do it without our partners who are helping to create stories that begin here! #DestinationProfessionalsDay #WhereStoriesBegin #VisitBeloit

On Friday, our staff had the chance to speak to the students of the Business, Art, Communication, and Hospitality (BACH) Academy at Beloit Memorial High School. We’re thankful The School District of Beloit offers this academy to give students hands-on, relevant learning opportunities in our community. We loved sharing our time and knowledge with our future hospitality leaders through this engaging panel discussion and look forward to more opportunities to work with them in the future.
