This month marks 6 years with Visit Alexandria! ?? From joining Claire Mouledoux and Rebecca Doser onstage at Times Square’s Edison Ballroom to receive a top award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) to traveling through Civil Rights sites in Montgomery, Alabama, with the Alexandria Community Remembrance Project to standing on the Alexandria City High School track with the world’s fastest man (an Alexandrian!), the memories I’ve made are beyond what I could have ever imagined when I joined the organization as Communications Associate & Writer in February 2019. Every day, I learn from my co-workers about all elements of destination marketing and am inspired to tell Alexandria’s stories in new, compelling and inclusive ways for all visitors. In the meantime, my colleagues have become lifelong friends. Thank you to our organizational and MarComm departmental leadership, Todd O'Leary, CDME, CTIS, Tom Kaiden, Claire Mouledoux, Rebecca Doser, Vito Fiore and Misha Enriquez (as well as Patricia Washington, Leah Berger, APR, ECI and all my past and current colleagues), for your trust, inspiration and encouragement over all these years. #visitALX P.S.
