Relocating multiple teams in a bustling city takes more than just logistics—it requires strategic planning, flexibility, and a commitment to sustainability. Our team has been leading the transition of nine departments across five floors in a major San Francisco office move. With teams coming from temporary swing spaces and multiple buildings, this project demanded precision and coordination to ensure a smooth experience. A key highlight? The Virtual Warehouse! This innovative system allows departments to "shop" for surplus furniture before purchasing new items. Every piece of furniture must be listed for at least 30 days before disposal, ensuring: ???Fewer items end up in landfills ???Significant cost savings on purchasing and disposal ???Progress toward San Francisco’s zero-waste goal So far, five departments are settled in (and loving their new views!), with the final group moving in next month. Huge shoutout to?The Armstrong Company?for their partnership in executing this complex move with efficiency and care, all while keeping sustainability at the forefront!???

Sustainability is woven into everything we do, especially when it comes to decommissioning. Our focus is on minimizing environmental impact through intentional, sustainable practices that help our clients meet their sustainability goals. ?? ?? A recent decommissioning project is a prime example of how this approach drives results. In this project, we removed 33.4 tons of materials, with 63% successfully diverted from landfill- items were either repurposed to non-profits or recycled, ensuring minimal waste and maximum impact. Thanks to our partners at Greener Source, we were able to donate over 670 items to 6 non-profits in need of furniture. This achievement was made possible by our meticulous project management process, which emphasizes recycling, repurposing, and responsible waste handling. By collaborating closely with our client and partners, we found innovative ways to recycle and repurpose materials, ensuring that as much waste as possible was kept out of landfills. ?? This project demonstrates how effective decommissioning can contribute to reducing environmental impact while ensuring an efficient and sustainable process. ?? ??
