This year’s Black History Month theme is “African Americans and Labor”. This is a reflection of the historical and ongoing experiences of Black people in the workforce, including facing systemic barriers to employment opportunities, experiencing higher rates of unemployment, and being relegated to lower-paying jobs. It’s important to understand the past so you can see the effects of the present and future. Equity in labor is something most Black people are struggling with in their fields. This is a perfect opportunity to do research on the critical milestones, fearless leaders, and eye-opening statistics on Black people and the labor movement. #learnwithVISIONS #antioppressionforall #moregood #betterworld #liberationwork #blackhistorymonth

February is Black History Month. Black History Month serves as a crucial opportunity to educate ourselves about the diverse experiences, struggles, and triumphs that have shaped our world. It is a time to acknowledge the resilience and strength of the Black community in the face of adversity, as well as the ongoing fight for racial justice and equality. This month also aims to showcase the extraordinary accomplishments of Black leaders, artists, scientists, activists, and innovators throughout history, who have broken down barriers, challenged norms, and paved the way for progress and equality. Let us come together to honor the profound legacy and contributions, while also supporting and uplifting one another. Here are some ways to support! #learnwithVISIONS #antioppressionforall #moregood #betterworld #liberationwork #blackhistorymonth
