In support of the Los Angeles County Fires,?CADRE?(Collaborating Agencies Disaster Relief Effort) has deployed a disaster case management intake, assessment, and registration form in collaboration with local recovery committees, disaster recovery centers, and responding agencies. Visionlink is honored to support this work. Thousands have already registered. This information will help recovery organizations better understand the needs of those who have lost their homes and businesses and prepare for the next steps of recovery. These tools reduce duplicate efforts while minimizing fraud so that resources can be efficiently and effectively used. The intake form can be completed in minutes with a smartphone, laptop, or computer and in English or Spanish. The system offers a QR code for quick access, real-time reporting and situational awareness for decision-makers, impact information for the many organizations beginning their response and recovery operations, API-based data exchange capacities, and text and email messaging for communications with registrants. Visionlink's?CommunityOS???platform?runs powerfully and quietly in the background for CADRE and many other disaster response and recovery organizations and government agencies nationwide. 211 is “a really great window into the state of the American consumer.” Often, 211 call centers respond to service trends ahead of public awareness. Their calls tell the stories. Visionlink is honored to support many 211 and United Way call centers across the country. We've doubled the number of 211 centers we support since this time last year! These are exciting times as more and more communities expand the breadth and depth of the information and referral, community information exchange, migrant services, and disaster services they provide through the Visionlink platform. To all the 211 service providers, we say, "Thank you for your service!"?
211 call centers are located all across the U.S., fielding confidential, anonymous requests from people during their most vulnerable moments to connect them to the services they need, from housing assistance to mental health and substance abuse resources. But these individual calls tell a greater story. As The Wall Street Journal's Rachel Wolfe shares with Marketplace by APM, 211 is "a really great window into the state of the American consumer."
