Advancing Vision Zero -- the goal of zero traffic deaths and severe injuries -- across the U.S.
关于我们
The Vision Zero Network is a collaborative campaign committed to helping communities reach their goal of Vision Zero — eliminating all traffic fatalities and severe injuries — in order to ensure safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all. The Network brings together leaders in health, traffic engineering, police enforcement, policy and advocacy to develop and share winning strategies and to support strong, distributed leadership for policies and practices that make Vision Zero a reality. We believe a strong, successful Vision Zero campaign in leading-edge American cities can set a new standard for safety on our streets — and build toward a nationwide movement that prioritizes safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all.

This paper gives in depth coverage to this relationship, including the graphic below showing how minimum parking requirements necessitate additional travel and transportation infrastructure to serve the same amount of housing and destinations. https://lnkd.in/eQ3WigYf #landuse #smartgrowth #completestreets
