We kicked off Brands&Culture today with a packed room for our first session, 4 HOT TAKES: WHAT THE F**K IS CULTURE? Our dynamic panel—featuring Joshua Proctor, Strategy Director,VIRTUE Worldwide, Oyin Akiniyi Head of Cultural Conversations, Pernod Ricard, Tom Rainsford, CMO, Beavertown Brewery, and Perla Bloom, Global Comms Planning, Expedia Group—is diving deep into what it truly means to engage with culture as a brand. They’re tackling the big questions: the difference between activating in culture and creating it, the importance of asking “WHY” before acting, and the common missteps marketers often make. The discussion also challenges our obsession with youth culture and explores how brands can genuinely lead in cultural spaces without simply following trends. It’s a powerful start to the day, brimming with insights on how brands can play an authentic and impactful role in shaping culture. Stay tuned for more highlights from Brands & Culture! #BrandsAndCulture #CulturalLeadership #ShapingCulture #MarketingInnovations #Branding

Have you ever seen a "Wiki Truck"? ?? ?? To increase trust in Wikipedia's uniquely HUMAN knowledge-making model, we showed how seemingly static Wikipedia articles are actually updated by 275,000+ volunteers up to 5.7 times a SECOND. Then we brought these animations to trucks in New York City and Los Angeles, where they displayed how local topics are written by many and sourced with reliable sources. In our time of doubtful information sources, we encourage everyone to explore how "Knowledge is Human." This innovative project has been led by the incredible Einav Jacubovich working with Lena Traer, Brooke Camarda, Marina Ramos, Jordan McRae, Kelsi Stine-Rowe, Lauren A. Dickinson, Gwadamirai Majange, MA, Sara Campos, Lucas Pasqual, and many more. It was envisioned and realized by the brilliant folks at VIRTUE Worldwide who pushed to get Wikipedia out of the browser and into the street. This took considerable doing! MASSIVE Thanks to Amanda Stroud-Amory, Jill Rothman, Christine M. Smith, Mauricio Santos Miranda, katherine fernández, Heather McTavish Perez, Natalie Otsuka, Jamison Duffield, and so many others for helping Wiki show up in a whole new way. You can learn more here (https://lnkd.in/gtTfDeiF) and YES we hope to bring "Wiki Trucks" to more people and places. #nonprofits #brandcampaigns #marketing
