Through collaboration with the Virtua Voorhees facilities team, security, and leadership, Donna has turned this event into a community-driven fundraiser that not only supports food access but also brings people together for a morning of fitness, fun, and philanthropy. Last year alone, the event saw 100+ attendees, raised $1,530, and collected 1,150 pounds of food directly supporting the Colleague Market and Food Farmacy to help sustain nutrition for both the community and Virtua colleagues. It was a day full of meaningful connections as our students had the chance to meet their donors and express how much their support means on their journey to becoming compassionate, skilled nurses. South Jersey Biz has recognized Virtua’s leadership in robotic-assisted surgery in its “Best of Health Care” feature. The organization “has become a top robotic-surgery provider for dozens of procedures, both regionally and nationally.” Virtua has provided more than 43,000 of these procedures since 2006, including hernia repairs, joint replacements, colorectal, gynecologic and urologic procedures, among many others.
