Oh. So. Thankful. ?????? We are thankful for our fantastic team, who helped distribute 600 turkeys and an assortment of veggies to our neighbors in South Jersey. We are thankful for the honor to serve our community for the 8th year in a row. We are thankful for our philanthropic partners who make this event possible, particularly Dr. Eric Sztejman and his family who champion this initiative each year. A leading industry publication has recognized Virtua’s?Catherine Hughes, MSN, RN, among the country’s “Chief Nursing Officers to Know.” The SVP and chief nursing executive oversees nursing operations across Virtua. Catherine played a crucial role in integrating nursing operations after Virtua’s 2019 acquisition of Lourdes Health System. A Virtua colleague for two decades, she was instrumental in the organization's pandemic response, and recently helped secure Magnet re-designation for three Virtua hospitals, among other achievements. Last month, first-year OB/GYN resident Kritica celebrated the most magical birthday of her life—delivering five birthday babies in a single day! We are buzzing with love for our friends "The Stitching Bee," a needlework group from The Evergreens retirement community in Moorestown. They recently created and donated 12 beautiful “Rainbow Baby Blankets” to Virtua. These colorful, handmade blankets are gifted to families welcoming a “rainbow baby”—a child born after the loss of a previous baby. Through Virtua’s Perinatal Bereavement and Palliative Care Program, we honor the journeys of these families, providing support during life’s challenges and celebrating moments of joy. A big thank you to The Stitching Bee for weaving hope and healing into every blanket. You’re truly the bee’s knees! And a huge shoutout to Elliott Coleman, MD, and our very own Ann Coyle for the wonderful photos!
