With the National Water Policy Fly-In just a month away, perfect timing for two articles published this week helping to explain what the event is about and how it works. If you've heard about this event but unsure what it's all about, these articles will answer all of your questions. Hot off the presses, the Winter 2025 edition of Virginia Water Environment Association's Conduit features Lara Grotz, PE recent interview (https://lnkd.in/eWsyQRre) [pages 41/42] with me on this very topic, answering: ?? Who can participate in the Fly-In? ?? How will I know what to say to legislators? ?? What does a typical day look like conducting Congressional briefings on Capitol Hill? ?? How do I register for the Fly-in? [https://lnkd.in/eG7nXbz2] ?? Are scholarships available? (Yes! WEF will support 20 Young Professionals to participate this year. Names of successful applicants coming soon from WEF!) ?? When is the Fly-In this year? (April 8/9) ...and many other questions. Also check out the March edition of Water Environment Federation's WE&T magazine featuring my interview (https://lnkd.in/etWJmY6K) with Kristiana Dragash, PE of Florida Water Environment Association - FWEA with even more insights and Q&A on the Fly-In. Whatever your questions on the Fly-In, you'll find the answer in these two articles! There is still time to register for the Fly-In to share your #WaterStory with legislators and advocate for funding and common-sense legislation. Now is the time to make your voice heard on behalf of #cleanwater. If you can't make it to DC this year, remember WEF's #WaterAdvocates program lets you send letters to your legislators on key water issues. https://lnkd.in/eB86sWW6 #wefwateradvocates #youusewaterwecleanit #wefhod Dewberry #waterislife #wateradvocacy Chesapeake Water Environment Association New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) New England Water Works Association Amy Kathman Ashley Voskuhl Steve Dye Howard Carter John Digiacomo, P.E.
