Exciting News! Richard Bishop has been awarded a $10 million DOE grant to spearhead a critical mineral research coalition in the greater Appalachian Mountains region! ?? Read the story to learn more ?? https://lnkd.in/esm3xfQF The coalition aims to: ?? Accelerate the identification and characterization of unconventional critical mineral resources. ?? Unite academic institutions, research labs, federal and state offices, and consultancies. ?? Boost regional economic growth and create new jobs. Richard brings a wealth of experience to this project. He has an extensive background in international finance for exploration and mining projects, having worked in Toronto, Canada. Additionally, he has served as CEO of exploration companies in Mongolia and South Africa. Richard has also been a dedicated member of MME's Industry Advisory Board for the past decade. His deep-rooted connection to Appalachia, with both sides of his family from the region, fuels his passion for this initiative.
Congratulations to Richard Bishop for securing first place in the SME Photo Contest with an outstanding photo of his drone research project at WVU! ?? He also earned an Honorable Mention for another captivating photo taken in an underground dimension stone mine in Carrara, Italy. Well done, Richard! ????
