To encourage investment in communities left behind by recent economic growth and the energy transition, the Energy Communities Adder increases the value of an advanced energy project’s underlying tax credits if the project is built in a qualifying location.? ? In the first year after this adder was enacted, energy communities saw advanced energy investment rise by $2.4 billion per month on average.?? ? Real communities are benefitting from this tax incentive. For example, over its lifetime, Sun Tribe’s Wildcats Solar project in #Virginia will generate over $2 million in economic benefits for the locality and region, including $800,000 in tax revenue for Wise County.?? ? https://lnkd.in/e9PiUGfZ
