“As we commemorate Juneteenth and celebrate the progress made towards freedom, let’s also remember that the fight for justice is far from over. Mass incarceration, modern-day slavery in prisons, and systemic inequalities continue to plague our communities. On this Juneteenth, let’s recommit ourselves to dismantling these oppressive systems and building a society where everyone has equal rights and opportunities. #EndMassIncarceration #Juneteenth #JusticeForAll #AbolishSlavery #abolishslaveryva #vja

Human contact, medical and mental health treatment, rehabilitation, and empowerment, respecting human dignity, respecting human life... all missing Values when one looks inside Florida Jails, State Prisons, and ICE Detention Centers. What exists is torture via the use of 22-24 hours isolation as punishment. Like, "Maximum Management:" Description: Reserved for individuals labeled "extreme security risk," involving the most severe form of confinement where individuals are placed in cages. On any given day, in Florida, approximately 10,000 individuals endure various forms of solitary confinement, subjecting them to extreme isolation and potentially violating international standards." - From a Fact sheet I'm working on. Join me and other distinguished panelists and advocates working to end the torture of extreme isolation in the state of Florida. The "Sunshine State" doesn't shine inside "The Box."
