Last night, we recognized the first-ever Physicist to earn our Billy R. Martin Innovator of the Year Award: Massimo Bertino in the Department of Physics at the VCU College of Humanities and Sciences. He has done something that is very hard to do in physics, which is to use science to create not a theory but rather a product, and one that can really change the world. His technology has broad versatility and strong interest worldwide to improve safety and energy efficiency. ? Max is also a symbol for all innovators at VCU. We are here to celebrate all of you, as well as the leaders who promote the innovation ecosystem in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
