In continuation of our celebration of Women’s History Month, we’re thrilled to remember our keynote speaker from last year’s Financial Success for Women Summit, Michelle Singletary! Not only is she an esteemed contributor to NPR and an established author, Michelle’s personal finance column, The Color of Money, appears twice a week in dozens of newspapers across the country and is syndicated by The Washington Post News Service and Syndicate. She’s also passionate about teaching financial literacy within her local community and gives back by providing a monthly course at her church and various prisons throughout her home state of Maryland! Talk about truly inspiring work. ??

We’re proud to continue to support Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR) with a recent donation of $31,600, in partnership with Virginia Commonwealth University Rams Basketball! The credit union’s long-running VACU Assists program makes a donation to CHoR for every assist recorded by the VCU men’s and women’s basketball teams. VACU’s donation will support the hospital’s Family Resource Center, with an additional donation of 500 child-friendly books on money management topics to follow in May. We salute the good work of CHoR and the care its stellar staff provide to 80,000+ kids each year! Read more: https://bit.ly/4kG8CJC
