We're inviting you join us on?for our most newest training, Equitably Engaging the Latinx Community. Now more than ever, we need organizations to understand how to engage this community in safe, compassionate, and sustainable ways. VACV will share our specific method of community engagement, while also providing the tools and context on best practices in centering the Latine community and their unique experiences in Richmond and the U.S. This training will focus on ways to share power with the Latinx community, to amplify their voices, and ensure long-term, meaningful participation so programs can reflect the true needs and dreams our neighbors have for their lives. Start your year off with new ideas for engaging your community members, and invite your friends and colleagues! We're looking forward to seeing you there! Register here - https://lnkd.in/egZtRTUP

An article on TriNet states that "A great employee experience is all about feeling valued—challenged, engaged, heard, supported and set up for success. It’s not just good for employees; it’s a win for businesses too, leading to lower turnover, higher engagement, profitability and happier service recipients." Virginia Community Voice has created a Human Centered approach to the workplace, and we are now offering a cohort for folks who want to learn how to improve staff experience and performance. Hope you can join us! Click the link below to register https://lnkd.in/eAYYMaYy

Why is it Important to Have a Human-Centered Workplace? Sustainability: When staff feel a sense of belonging and have the tools to pause, nurture, and support their well-being, they gain the capacity to stay engaged in their work for the long haul. This approach fosters productivity and creativity. Research shows that burnout leads to decreased productivity and a diminished ability to solve problems effectively. A human-centered workplace helps mitigate these challenges. Imagination and Creativity: Without adequate support, nurturing, and inspiration, we lose the ability to design programs and create spaces that are innovative and address the problems we aim to solve. We didn’t enter this type of work to merely go through the motions; fostering creativity is essential for impactful outcomes. Pivoting Away from White Workplace Cultural Norms: Tying self-worth solely to productivity and transactional outcomes is not the right driving force for the work we do. To challenge the status quo, institutions must create solid spaces that pivot away from capitalist values and instead center human beings as the most critical factor in our work. By prioritizing people over results and outcomes, we build workplaces that truly reflect our values. Join our program! Register here:
