Congratulations to our friend and former colleague Greg Greenhalgh, Ph.D. on receiving the 2024 Sutton Award from Sport Marketing Association last week in St Louis. The award is given to an academician that displays excellence in teaching, research, service and student engagement. Greg excelled in all of those areas at VCU and continues at USF. He is and always will be #CSLnetwork

Our faculty have been sharing their research and knowledge at conferences around the country the past 2 weeks: At Sport Marketing Association in St. Louis, Carrie LeCrom & Brendan Dwyer presented to colleagues At North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) in Chicago, Yong-Chae Rhee shared research on ‘How much can we make when we invest in sustainability?’ #CSLnetwork

Double-duty for CSL alum RaShauna Hamilton on her recent visit to campus. In the morning, the VP of Community Development for the Washington Spirit spoke in Dr. LeCrom's Leadership in Sport class, discussing best practices in managing your team and building/maintaining a strong culture. In the afternoon, RaShauna met with our Women's Basketball Team to talk about dealing with imposter syndrome and being prepared for opportunities when they arise. That was the title of Carrie LeCrom keynote address at the 2024 Mawson Scholar Speaker Series hosted by the University of Kansas Sport Management program in the Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences. We want to thank three of our young alumni for giving back to the CSL: Sean Dean with DC United, Hannah O'Neil with the Washington Nationals. Alieh Shaban with the Washington Commanders played a huge role in our successful Fall Sports Road Trip last week to Washington D.C. It wasn't too long ago these 3 alums were traveling on these trips as students. Last week, they helped give our students and incredible experience. That's what #CSLnetwork is all about.
