The Virginia Spaceport Authority, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, owns and operates the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS). This spaceport includes three launch pads, an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Airfield, a Payload Processing Facility (PPF), and an Integration and Control Facility (ICF). These facilities are located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia at Wallops Island.

Assured access to space is a worldwide effort. ?? We’ve talked about how international collaboration is a goal to be shared across the world stage. Today, we’ve formalized this thought in signing a Memorandum of Understanding alongside eight other spaceports across five continents. This MOU will establish a forum to explore potential strategic collaboration in areas of common interest and will introduce a dialogue on establishing international spaceport standards.
