Meet the 2024 VAPA Board of Directors! Elizabeth is a graduate of Emory & Henry college who is continuing her education through Shenandoah University’s PA program. Her work experience ranges from medical administration to concrete retail. When not working or studying, she can be found at Northern Regional Hospital, where she has volunteered for almost ten years. She has participated in laboratory, psychological, and environmental studies research and hopes to continue her passion for research after graduation from Shenandoah. She hopes to eventually find employment at a hospital or clinic in an underserved area, as it is her utmost belief that service to others (but especially those in need) is the only way to change the world. Meet the 2024 VAPA Board of Directors! Alex Patton has been in practice as a PA since 2021, with experience working as a hospitalist in a critical access hospital in southern Virginia and rural outpatient pediatrics. He also has previous healthcare experience consisting of serving in a ground ambulance company in the US Army as well as a firefighter paramedic in Charlottesville for many years. He is still an active volunteer and life member with the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad. In the last two years, he served as a Virginia delegate to the AAPA House of Delegates and is proud to host the VAPA Student Challenge Bowl. American Academy of Physician Associates

Meet the 2024 VAPA Board of Directors! Alicia Rokicki is an early career PA. Originally from Massachusetts, she relocated to complete her MSPA at South University – Richmond in 2022, graduating with induction into the Pi Alpha Honor Society. She then completed fellowship training at the University of Virginia Health in general critical care medicine. She initially became active with VAPA by serving as her program’s student representative, served as the Marketing Director for 2 years, and is now transitioning into the new role of the Early Career PA Representative. Her personal interests include exploring nature through hiking and travel, exotic sports cars, and following her favorite hockey team; the Boston Bruins. American Academy of Physician Associates
