In a significant decision involving?Amazon.com Services LLC, the National Labor Relations Board has ruled that requiring employees to attend meetings about unionization under threat of discipline or discharge violates the?National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). Such?captive-audience meetings?are deemed coercive and infringe on employees' Section 7 rights. ?? Employers can still hold meetings on unionization but must ensure attendance is?voluntary, with reasonable advance notice, no adverse consequences for non-attendance, and no attendance records kept. ?? Legal update! ?? Missouri has increase its sick leave & minimum wage! Starting January 1, 2025, Missouri’s minimum wage will jump from $12.30 to $13.75 and reach $15 by 2026, with future adjustments tied to inflation. Alongside this, a new paid sick leave law will take effect on May 1, 2025, requiring employers to provide sick leave for personal or family medical needs, public health emergencies, and more. ?? ??
