Vintage Wood & Forged Iron

Vintage Wood & Forged Iron started as a hobby back in 2011. Here and there, a barn would come down and the reclaimed materials would be stored on a family farm. After a while, there was quite a stockpile of barnwood and reclaimed materials being bought and sold on a regular basis. And so a business was born. In 2017, a manufacturing facility was leased and a few mill employees were hired. A resaw and a kiln were added so the company could provide the proper processing of the wood when necessary. We started offering flooring, decorative beams, wall paneling, and molding. The business then began to grow as word got around. In the summer of 2018, Vintage Wood and Forged Iron launched its first website and almost immediately attracted new customers from all over the Northeast. Shortly after, an office staff was added to work with the already experienced mill operators. We were then able to add the DIY homeowner to our clientele by offering items like wall and ceiling planking, floating shelves, mantels, and live edge slabs. And increased our efficiency with a molder/planer and wire brush machine. Today, Vintage Wood and Forged Iron continues to grow. The hand-forged iron part of our business has taken off, and we’re proud to provide our customers with handmade, one-of-a-kind iron pieces like handrails, hinges, and latches, custom designed and made to suit your style. The journey from hobby to business has been a good one, and we wouldn’t be here without you, our customers, so thank you! We look forward to a long future of continuing to serve you.
