Company Description The Company is an importer and wholesale distributor of wines and beers. We service restaurants, beverage stores, grocery stores and many others throughout Ohio from three locations: Solon, Columbus, and West Chester. Our Warehouse staff has established an industry leading level of accuracy. Role Description This is a Monday through Thursday job that starts each day at 2pm and ends when the work is done, typically anywhere from 10pm to 2am. Hours vary and may be longer during peak season, which falls between October and December. Pay starts at $17 per hour, but is negotiable based on experience. This position supports our warehouse operations and sales by assembling orders for delivery. It entails moving full cases, multiple cases, and bottles, staging the orders, and then loading them into delivery vehicles. Approximately 25% of our orders are full cases, the remainder are bottles. We have approximately 2,000 individual products. To perform this job properly, orders must be assembled timely, accurately, and safely. Orders must be packed into the proper truck, ensuring safe transportation of the load. Our staff performs at an extremely high level with an industry-leading level of accuracy: 99.9808%. Essential Duties: Assemble orders of bottles and cases accurately and safely. Load trucks accurately and safely. Process arriving shipments and follow proper put-away process as needed. Pull orders and samples for customer pickups, sales rep expresses, and others as needed. Ability to adapt to a changing work environment, Other warehouse duties as needed. Requirements: Properly represent the Company by professionally interacting with customers, colleagues, and all with whom you encounter. Ability to be on your feet throughout the shift. Attention to detail. Ability to read wine labels and distinguish one product from another. Ability to safely lift and move cases of wine, beer, natural beverages, and beer kegs repeatedly. Wine can weigh up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate two-wheelers, pallet jacks, power pallet jacks, forklifts (training and certification provided), and other equipment as needed.
