We’re thrilled to announce a new initiative at Vine & Fig Tree! This?monthly virtual support group?is designed for former foster youth (ages 18+) to provide a safe and supportive space to: ? Share experiences and connect with peers ? Seek guidance on essential life skills—like navigating housing vouchers, applying for food stamps or WIC, understanding health insurance, and managing taxes, and so much more ? Receive encouragement and practical advice in a judgment-free environment This program will be led by our Foster YouthAdvisory Board Member and former Vine & Fig Tree intern,?Adrianna Boyer, whose passion for supporting foster youth shines through her work. ???When:?Second Tuesday of each month, starting February 11th ???Where:?Online (link provided upon registration) ? At Vine & Fig Tree, we are committed to empowering former foster youth as they navigate adulthood. This year, we’ve created 176 impactful moments for foster youth through direct support and care, while engaging 415 community members in advocacy and outreach. ?? With 400+ hours of service to foster youth and 234 volunteer hours from our incredible supporters, we’ve built connections, provided resources, and created opportunities for brighter futures. Every touchpoint, every hour, and every effort matters. ??? Happy International Day of Charity! ??? Today, we celebrate the power of giving back and the incredible impact we can make when we come together for a common cause. Whether it’s your time, resources, or a simple act of kindness, every bit counts in creating a better world. So far this year, we have been able to accomplish the following in our community thanks to your support: ?300 hours spent working directly in the community to support the populations we serve; from foster youth to the unhoused, and visiting the courts, the hospital, participating in Foster Youth Advocacy Day, and more! ??82 different touch points with our local foster youth; from Escape Rooms and the aquarium to pool parties and relaxed art days, we've also helped with providing furniture, housing, and community events. ??????332 community members impacted through our various programming and events as we've also partnered with other local non-profits doing incredible work! ??70 volunteer hours given back from community members to help support our local foster youth! ??$1,700 donated and used through our emergency fund to help provide groceries, transportation, housing and other goods and services to local foster youth. We could not do this without you - thank you for partnering with us and helping us help our community!

This long weekend, we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and contributions of all workers who make our communities thrive. At Vine & Fig Tree, we believe that meaningful work is more than just a paycheck—it’s about finding purpose, dignity, and fulfillment in what we do. This Labor Day, we honor not just the labor itself, but the spirit behind it.
