Village Farms leverages decades of experience as a large-scale, Controlled Environment Agriculture-based, vertically integrated supplier for high-value, high-growth plant-based Consumer Packaged Goods opportunities, with a strong foundation as a leading fresh produce supplier to grocery and large-format retailers throughout the US and Canada, and new high-growth opportunities in the cannabis and CBD categories in North America and selected markets internationally. In Canada, the Company's wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary, Pure Sunfarms, is one of the single largest cannabis operations in the world, the lowest-cost greenhouse producer and one of Canada's best-selling brands. The Company also owns 70% of Québec-based, ROSE LifeScience, a leading third-party cannabis products commercialization expert in the Province of Québec, In the US, wholly-owned Balanced Health Botanicals is one of the leading CBD brands and e-commerce platforms in the country. Subject to compliance with all applicable US federal and state laws and stock exchange rules, Village Farms plans to enter the US high-THC cannabis market via multiple strategies, leveraging one of the largest greenhouse operations in the country (more than 5.5 million square feet in West Texas), as well as the operational and product expertise gained through Pure Sunfarms' cannabis success in Canada. Internationally, Village Farms is targeting selected, nascent, legal cannabis and CBD opportunities with significant medium- and long-term potential, with an initial focus on the Asia-Pacific region and Europe.

    We are thrilled to be honored by Healthy Family Project as we stand strong among a group of like minded fresh produce suppliers along with our valued retail partner Publix Super Markets who pioneered the annual Produce for Kids Campaign. Each year this campaign benefits the Feeding America Food Bank where our collective efforts helped to raise $152,000! We also had the pleasure this year to support Healthy Family Project, with their inaugural Carry the Cause initiative where Village Farms Greenhouse Grown was able to direct support to MANNA FoodBank - Asheville NC to help with the recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene.?     Yesterday, Pure Sunfarms had the opportunity to attend SPARK 2025 presented by Alliance of Beverage Licensees (ABLE BC), a platform that brought together key stakeholders from British Columbia’s liquor and cannabis industries to discuss market trends, regulatory updates, and industry challenges. Our VP of Brand, Maria Guest, joined the panel on Cannabis Market Trends: Product Category Shifts in BC, providing insights into category performance, emerging trends, market challenges, and areas for potential growth. Our President, Orville Bovenschen, participated in Bridging the Gap: Licensed & Illicit Cannabis, a discussion on the current state of BC’s cannabis market, the challenges posed by the illicit market, and potential solutions for a more sustainable industry. Over 150 people attended the event, helping to raise both awareness, and additional funding, which will go directly to additional cannabis research.??We'd also like to thank Paige Figi, who received the ICR's Award of Excellence for her tireless work advocating for policy changes allowing access to cannabis-based therapies.??

With a distinguished career in equity analysis, capital markets, and business strategy, Ann's expertise has been a tremendous asset to Village Farms International in driving strategy and operations, contributing to our robust growth.? Over the past 30 years, Ann has been a trailblazer in leadership roles in top US financial institutions and advisory positions for major corporations, including Barclays, Lehman Brothers, and Alliance Bernstein, developing business models that have driven sustained market share growth and profitability. She has a proven track record in strategy and analysis for global institutions and has been recognized for her cost structure work,?which received widespread recognition from both investors and executive management teams on Wall Street.??? “During her tenure at Village Farms International, Ann’s strategic counsel and insight has been invaluable to our team and integral to the evolution of our growth strategy,” reflects Michael A DeGiglio, President & CEO of Village Farms. “Her deep understanding of value creation has helped shape our strategic direction, and in her role as COO, her knowledge of our industry, business and competitive position continues to guide our global expansion forward.”? Ann notes her difficult and ultimately most rewarding, decision to pause her career to prioritize being more available for her three children’s changing needs.
