March is in full swing, but let’s take a moment to reflect on an impactful February! We kicked off the month by celebrating Lunar New Year, participating in the Flushing parade, attending partner events, and hosting our own festivities. In honor of Senior Independence Awareness Month, we shared important health plan information and resources to help seniors stay informed and supported. Despite the inclement weather, our weekly wellness screenings were busy. We also held several health education sessions at senior centers across NYC, focusing on yoga, SAIL (Stay Active and Independent for Life), and chair yoga—each promoting mobility and well-being. We participated in the Don't Walk By Outreach, engaging with community members and sharing essential health plan information. Our advocacy efforts extended beyond New York City as we participated in the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) Legislative Fly-In in Washington, D.C., where we spoke with members of Congress about the importance of protecting Medicare and Medicaid. Internally, we celebrated our team during the Annual Employee Celebration Night, recognizing their hard work and held our Employee Service and the BE Vital Awards honoring years of dedication and outstanding contribution.
