Congratulations to our board member Taryell Simmons for winning the RISE San Diego ILIA Awards in the category “Culture Shifter Award” that honors an individual who has shown dedication and action in shifting the culture of organizations and communities alike. It recognize the effort of guiding groups to face a new challenge, disrupt outdated or harmful norms, and become more reflective and responsive to the needs of the communities they serve. Our Executive Director Julius Alejandro, M.S. and Chief of Staff Diana Hartwig-Arce were in attendance to support the event and cheer the nominees.

Last week we had a mixer and Real Talk event in partnership with 5th Quarter Consulting as part of Stella Foundation Women’s Venture Summit hosted at the Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest.
