关于我们
The Village of Villa Park is a municipality located in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Villa Park is ideally located as an "inner" western suburb of Chicago. The Village has the best of both worlds--direct access to downtown Chicago and also to the rest of the western suburbs. Just nineteen miles directly west of the Chicago Loop, Villa Park is located in east central DuPage County. Approximately four square miles in area, Villa Park is bounded by Addison on the north, Lombard on the west, Oakbrook Terrace on the south and Elmhurst on the east. https://www.invillapark.com/1185/Social-Media-Policy

On December 4, 2024, FF Steven Gonzalez, FF Tom Sandeno, and Lt. Brian Morrice responded to a resident's medical emergency. Yesterday, the resident visited Station 81 to personally thank the crew for their kindness and compassion. We commend the crew for their outstanding service and for representing the Villa Park Fire Department with excellence! ???? (FF Tom Sandeno is not pictured)

Nicole Else from the Villa Park Fire Department spoke with CBS yesterday about her participation in the Fight For Air Climb, taking place tomorrow, March 9, in Oak Brook Terrace. This event supports lung disease awareness. Nicole also highlights the contributions of female firefighters, noting that despite women having fought fires for over 200 years, they represent less than 10% of U.S. firefighters. For this event, she will be climbing 660 stairs while wearing full gear, which adds nearly 40 pounds! Watch Nicole on CBS! https://ow.ly/4yS850Ve31i. You can learn more and support the Fight For Air Climb for the American Lung Association by visiting: https://ow.ly/z4rz50Ve31j. Thank you to Nicole and all the firefighters and paramedics from Villa Park for their dedicated service!

As we approach Women’s History Month this March, our very own Nicole Else from the Villa Park Fire Department joined the WGN-TV Morning Show this week to discuss her participation in the Fight For Air Climb to support lung disease on Sunday, March 9 in Oak Brook Terrace! Nicole is honoring the strength of female firefighters past and present by raising awareness for lung health. Although women have been fighting fires for over 200 years, they still make up less than 10% of U.S. firefighters. Firefighters face higher risks to their lung health due to exposure to smoke and harmful substances. Nicole will climb 660 stairs in full gear, adding nearly 40 pounds, to raise funds and awareness for lung health. Watch Nicole on WGN here: https://ow.ly/ZeqB50V7H0I Learn more and support the Fight For Air Climb for the American Lung Association at their website: https://ow.ly/6fYM50V7H0G Thank you to Nicole and all our Villa Park firefighters and paramedics for their service!

This week is National Engineers Week, and we want to give a big thank you to the dedicated engineers in our Public Works Department! ??♂??? The Village of Villa Park Engineering Division is one of six divisions within Public Works and plays a crucial role in our community. The team is responsible for designing and reviewing plans for Public Works projects, inspecting related construction, and reviewing site plans for private property development. They also manage the sidewalk replacement program and backyard drainage program. In addition to these responsibilities, the division provides construction project design, management, and inspection, offers drainage assistance, provides engineering and technical support, reviews private development plans, and conducts surveying. We appreciate all the hard work our engineers do to help keep our village running smoothly!

This Saturday is National SRO Appreciation Day, and we want to recognize our amazing Villa Park Police Department School Resource Officers, Officer Bastian and Officer Perez! ??♂? Every year, on February 15, we celebrate National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, highlighting the incredible work SROs do for our schools and communities. These dedicated officers fulfill multiple roles: serving as informal mentors or counselors, educating students about the law, and providing law enforcement support to ensure the safety of the students and communities they serve. Let’s give them the respect and support they truly deserve for their commitment to keeping our schools and students safe! ????
