The Village is proud to be recognized as a Clean Energy Community by NYSERDA. Take a look at our scorecard where we have reached the Advanced 2 star level. There are only 9 communities on Long Island to have reached this designation. Our goal is to be Number #1 on Long Island. With a new solar array at the LIRR station due to be complete in 2025, we are well on our way!

Did you know? Tree City USA communities are home to more than 163 million Americans AND Patchogue Village is one of them! @ArborDay ‘s Tree City USA program provides numerous benefits to our community’s urban tree canopy. Benefits like: A thriving urban forest offers many advantages to communities. Here are just a few: Trees help absorb the sounds of traffic in urban areas by 40%. Neighborhoods with trees are seven to nine degrees cooler than those without. Trees reduce energy costs up to 25% by shading buildings and protecting them from winter winds. Homes with trees have higher property values. Green space plays a major role in improving mental and physical health. Planting and maintaining trees absorbs carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, mitigating the effects of climate change.
