The Village of Itasca is a general law Village, which operates under a council/manager system of government. The Village of Itasca, incorporated in 1890, has an estimated population of 8,649 and has a land area of 5.1 square miles. It is located in the northeastern part of DuPage County, Illinois, and is bordered by the municipalities of Elk Grove Village, Medinah, Roselle, and Addison. The Village is a “full service Village” and provides a wide range of services. These services include: police protection; building safety regulation and inspection; street lighting; land use planning and zoning; housing and community development; maintenance and improvement of streets and related structures; and traffic safety maintenance and improvement; and full range of recreational programs. The Village of Itasca is home to a wide-range of successful businesses and organizations including Boler Company headquarters; Cannon USA, Inc.; First Midwest Bank headquarters; and many more. Itasca residents, businesses, and visitors have access to superior transportation options, including two major interstates and Metra train service to Downtown Chicago. Approximately 65 Full Time Employees, 20 Part Time/Seasonal Employees and 4 Departments: Police Department, Public Works, Community Development and Village Administration.
