The Hoffman Estates Police Department recently celebrated the opening of its new Community Resource Center, which is designed to serve as a vital hub for residents in need of mental health resources, crisis management assistance and other social services. The Community Resource Center is staffed for walk-in?services, including crisis management, mental health support, and access to community resources, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 8 p.m., and on Wednesdays 9 a.m. to noon. Service referrals will be available in English and in Spanish during walk-in hours. The center will be available 24/7, with shift sergeants having access to its resources at all times. The Village's Building and Code Enforcement Division is proud to embrace innovative construction methods that not only improve efficiency but also maintain high standards of quality and safety. For the first time, the Building Department allowed the use of modular pods — exam rooms that were pre-fabricated, pre-inspected, and delivered directly to the construction site — for the Advocate Medical building under construction in Hoffman Estates near 59 & 90. This new approach streamlined the building process, as much of the work was completed offsite, leading to fewer in-field inspections and faster project timelines. The Village of Hoffman Estates is seeking candidates for a grant-funded Bilingual Therapist position to provide individual, couple, family and group therapy throughout the course of one year. A Master’s degree is required for this position, and should be in Clinical Psychology, Community Psychology, or Counseling Psychology LPC. LCPC preferred but not required. One to two years related experience is required. Must be fluent in English & Spanish, valid Driver’s License required. Compensation for this position is $27.88 per hour ($58,000 annually).
