Construction is in full swing at the Village of Glencoe ! We're grateful for the opportunity to work with the village on upgrading their historic Village Hall. The project will take place in two phases. Phase 1 focuses on renovating the dormitory to improve comfort and efficiency. Phase 2 will transform the Board Room into a modern, refreshed space. The Village of Glencoe is rolling into the weekend with GREAT NEWS! ?? The Village received confirmation that S&P Global Ratings (S&P) has reaffirmed the Village’s AAA bond rating. ?? This is the highest rating that an organization can achieve! Glencoe's newly approved home rule status was an important consideration in maintaining this rating, which makes borrowing for capital improvements less expensive, costing taxpayers less! ?? The Village President and Board of Trustees along with our professional staff remain committed to fiscal responsibility, ensuring stability and sustainability for future generations. The analysis conducted by S&P cited a strong local economy, a long run of positive operating results, strong reserves and engaged and thoughtful financial management as strengths of the Village. Specifically highlighted in the report was the Village’s recent move to a 25% fund balance policy, which is viewed as a significant indication of long-term financial stability. S&P also shared a reference to their previous publication that cites how S&P considers whether to rate a local government higher than their sovereign government (as Glencoe is rated higher than the US Federal Government) - more information on this determination can be found on the S&P website through this link: https://ow.ly/GeGA50VcZ34.
