On Oct. 7, Illinois Manufacturers' Association celebrated Manufacturing Day with the "Makers on the Move" bus tour stop at SWD Inc., (910 S. Stiles Drive in Addison). SWD Inc. is a second-generation family owned manufacturing company operating in Addison since 1980. The Makers on the Move bus tour is a statewide tour to bring attention to the importance of Illinois' manufacturing businesses and the role that education and training have in keeping these companies thriving in Illinois.
